Today is my first “Conversations Through Connection,” and I’m looking forward to meeting with residents and simply having a chat about the issues that are on your radar.
Square Brew from 1 PM to 2 PM is the place to be today! I’ll also be back at Square Brew on Sunday, September 27, from 2 PM to 3 PM.
I have two more public chats in the works. The locations are picked, but the dates haven’t been firmed up just yet. Stay tuned — I’ll be posting those details this week.
Chuck’s Roadhouse has kindly offered to open early for coffee and a chat, and The Yoga Den will be another location for one of our gatherings.
A big thank you to everyone who has offered their place of business for me to host these conversations. I think it’s a win-win — you can come and have a chat with me while also checking out what these local businesses have to offer our community.
I also have a “Conversations Through Connection” gathering happening Monday, September 21, at one of our local seniors’ residences.
Sometimes our seniors can get lost in the conversation, but that won’t happen with me. It is important that we recognize what our seniors have experienced, listen to the advice and wisdom they have to offer, and remember just how integral they have been — and continue to be — to our community.
I’m looking forward to listening to their issues and concerns and doing my best to advocate for the things that matter to them.
It really is all about connection, conversation and listening.
