Re-Elect Liz Petrie 2026 to 2030

Thank you to the Huron Chamber of Commerce for hosting the upcoming Candidate Conversations. The format is signing a light on the municipal candidate positions (Mayor and Deputy Mayor) that will be sitting on Huron County Council. It is being billed as a “fireside chat” that will be lead by a moderator. Councillor Candidates for Goderich are also anticipated to be in attendance to “mingle” with the residents prior to and after the “fireside chat.” The event is happening SUNDAY SEPT. 13 7PM TO 9 PM AT THE LIVERY.

I will be attending this event to listen to what the candidates for Mayor for the Town of Goderich will share, as well as chat with residents. The Town of Goderich Deputy Mayor position was acclaimed.

There has been chatter in the community regarding “why is there not a council candidate forum/debate?” And I could not agree more. With many new faces running for the 5 councillor positions (9 in the running), it is important that we be heard as well.

As of last evening, the Maitland Trail Association has picked up and will be hosting an All Candidates Forum on TUESDAY OCTOBER 6 at the Lakeshore United Church from 7 PM to 9 PM. I wish to extend my thanks to the organization and I look forward to hearing my colleagues speak.

Also don’t forget I am hosting 2 “CONNECTION THROUGH COMMUNICATION” pop ups on SUNDAY SEPT. 20, 2026 1 TO 2 PM AND SUNDAY SEPT. 27, 2026 2 PM TO 3 PM AT SQUARE BREW. Come on out and chat!!! Stay tuned for more information on all of these events in the next few days.
